How should I set up a Dahua IP camera?
Setting up your Dahua IP camera is relatively easy, there are several ways to connect your security system after you hang the camera(s). For example, you can connect your IP camera with the included Ethernet cable connect to your router, so the security system doesn't have to search for the network. When you have a PoE (Power over Ethernet) camera, there is no need to search for the network at all because it is powered by the included Ethernet cable.
Connecting Dahua camera with the app
If you want to be able to view your cameras' images anytime, anywhere, you can use the IMOU app from Dahua. After creating an account, you can add the camera by pressing the + button. The camera should be powered and you can scan the QR code on the device or on the package to connect to wifi. You enter the wifi password and hold your phone or other device close to the camera to connect. When a green indicator light appears on the camera, configuration is complete. Be sure to set a password for your camera so that only you can access the images the device captures.
